As I visit websites showcasing people's homes that they are building, I see many things that have gone terrible wrong. Here is a good example of what can happen when the builder is not "hands-on", and watching how things get done.

Can you spot the obvious mistake, that the owner will be reminded of , every time they use the toilet?
These are 2 separate toilet installations.




To fix this will be almost impossible, or VERY expensive.
It would have been better to do it right the first time.

My experience is that most foreigners really resent being warned.
I have had discussions with quite few foreigners that are building their "dream" house. When asked about some aspect of their house, they get very defensive and resist any advice. Well, I am not the one that has to live with the stupid mistake. It is quite the fool who will not even listen to advice.
